Creamy Garlic Butter Pasta

This is a super cheesy, flavorful pasta recipe. đź§€

Main Dish

Ingredients:

  • Pasta {type: RIGATONI}
  • Garlic (2 cloves grated)
  • Butter
  • Cream (1/4 cup, optional, parmesan, mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 cup Milk (Soya Milk healthy option)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano (or dried mix Italian herbs)
  • Salt as needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Herbs: Coriander leaves/Basil leaves/Oregano (whichever you have!)
  • Mixed Vegetable (optional)

step-by-step

Instructions:

  1. Boil 4 cups of water.
  2. Add pasta and 1/4 teaspoon salt; boil until soft. (mine takes about 9 mins)
  3. Put about 1/4 cup pasta-cooked stock aside.
  4. Drain the pasta, cover and keep aside.

Boiled-pasta

  1. Pour half tbsp butter into a pan. Add veggies and sauté them on medium-high heat until slightly tender yet crunchy.

Make White Sauce

  1. Melt 2 tbsp butter, add minced garlic and fry for 30–40 seconds on medium heat.

  1. Stir in all-purpose flour. Sauté well until the flour loses the raw smell (don’t brown the flour).
  2. Turn off the heat, slowly pour 1/2 cup milk while stirring.
  3. Turn on the heat and cook on medium-low until the white sauce becomes thick. Pour the heavy cream or cheese and mix well.
  4. If it’s thick enough to coat the back of a spoon—congrats!!

  1. Add the vegetables and the cooked pasta; mix well.
  2. Add pepper, oregano, and chili flakes.
    Garnish it & serve warm!!!
