Creamy Garlic Butter Pasta

This is a super cheesy, flavorful pasta recipe. 🧀

Main Dish

Ingredients:

  • Pasta {type: RIGATONI}
  • Garlic (2 cloves grated)
  • Butter
  • Cream (1/4 cup, optional, parmesan, mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 cup Milk (Soya Milk healthy option)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano (or dried mix Italian herbs)
  • Salt as needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Herbs: Corriander leaves/Basil leaves/oregano (whichever you have!)
  • Mixed Vegetable (optional)

step-by-step

Instructions:

  1. Boil 4 cups of water.
  2. Add pasta and 1/4 teaspoon salt boil until soft. (mine takes about 9 mins)
  3. Put about 1/4 cup pasta cooked stock aside.
  4. Drain the pasta, cover and keep aside.

Boiled-pasta

  1. Pour half tbsp butter to a pan. Add vegies and saute them on a medium high heat until slightly tender yet crunchy.

Make White Sauce

  1. Melt 2 tbsp butter, add minced garlic and fry for 30 to 40 seconds on a medium heat.

  1. Stir in all-purpose flour. Saute well until the flour loses the raw smell, don't brown the flour.
  2. Turn off the heat, slowly pour 1/2 cup milk while you stir.
  3. Turn on the heat and cook on a medium-low until the white sauce becomes thick. Pour the heavy cream or cheese and mix well.
  4. If it is thick enough to coat the back of the spoon, congrats!!

  1. Add the vegetables and the cooked pasta & mix well.
  2. Add pepper, oregano & chilli flakes.
    Garnish it & serve well!!!
